Crazy Day

The Harp Dancer. March 2010. Brisbane Street, Launcestion, Tas.

It has really been a while since I last shop like today. It's actually 'Crazy Day' in Launceston today where we can get cheap stuff which is normally expensive. Well, not all things are on promo or tagged with special prices, but some selected items only, that are actually very worth while purchasing. For example, I got a book called "New Media Design". The original price of the book is $49.95, and I got it with $2.50. Well, because it's cheap, I even get myself a Harry Potter hard cover file folder which costs me $1.25. Cool right. I'm just gonna cover that file cover with other pictures and left Emma Watson's face clear and untouched. Oops, jk. =)

The night's highlight is when me and my 2 other 'gang ho' housemates went out for shopping again. We left at around 8.35pm, when the earth hour just started. Haa.. so instead of lighting candles at home, we went grocery shopping! Interesting thing is, Coles was totally empty, besides the workers. It seemed like we were the only customers. And we didn't realise the lights in the premise were dimmed until the earth hour was over and the lights were lighted at their original luminance.

Hence the day ends when I realise I have spent so much money. Sigh, gonna eat soil and grass next month

Work. March 2010. School of Architecture, Inveresk Campus, UTas, Launceston, Tas.

It was before I woke up from my dream and blurness that the assignments reigned.
And I realise I'm so blur about what I'm doing.
Wake up & Work it out!!
Not much time left...

Rambutan Australia

Rambutan Australia. March 2010. Woolworths, Mowbray, Launceston, Tas.

The ones back in my home are 10 times more attractive than these. And guess what, I eat for free.
Never know I have a fortune at my backyard. 1 kilo = RM60. Semua orang mahu tanam rambutan!

Stop converting ah, I warn you.

Wanna Learn Foochow??

I'm always proud to be a Sibu boy, particularly because I'm a foochow. Somehow I feel foochow from Sibu has this kind of special status, and you will lose its significance if you tell people that you are from Sibu but you are not a foochow.

Some of my friends back home who are not a foochow but want to learn this dialect. I don't speak it perfectly well, but just enough to have some intermediate level kinda conversations.

Just now I came across this post on Facebook. I just have to post it here. I had a really superbly good laugh out of it. It's really a good way to remember those words.

*Specially recommended to people like Jed and Mei Ing.*

Haha... helpful? Lolzzzzz...

Father and Daughter

Father and Daughter. March 2010. City Park, Launceston, Tas.

Walked around the city for about 2 - 3 hours today. Apparently the City Park is one of the most happening places. A lot of families spent their time strolling and playing there. It's a beautiful scene where the parents push one or two prams in the park while others, busy telling their children about the things around. We can't find this scenario back home as widely as here, especially during weekdays. Now I'm curious what does the parents do to earn a living? They seem to have so much time lepak-ing in the park, not just Fridays, but almost everyday.

Homo Sapiens

Toilet's Art. February 2010. Cornwall City Square, Launceston, Tas.

I tend to think that Australia is a very civilised country with civilised people doing civilised job. Well, I am wrong. Wherever there's human, there the same chaos and problems would be, because human are the same everywhere in the world. In Launceston there's problem like racism as well. My housemate saw some cops chasing after a criminal outside a hotel in the city last week. Well, these things don't happen in Malaysia only. It happens among human kind globally.
Lesson for the day: grass is not always greener on the other side. Men are just sinful by their nature.
