I can't really believe a girl would bring back 10kg of chocolate all the way from Brisbane and gave it out to her friends. And she generously gave me and Robert a packet of Australian's TimTam. Fuyoh!

Thanks Grace. Welcome home. =)

And thanks to everyone for the prayer session at the end of the church service today. Will drop by and visit the service whenever I'm in KL! Miss the time worshiping our God there. =)

Dawn? Dusk?

"The Dawn", Kelana Jaya, November 2009

Since when the dawn became dusk? And the dusk is the time when all the works began?

Since the day I gave my life over architorture.

Thought of posting something while waiting for my CAD file to be exported from Sketchup. Don't know how long would it take. Might take forever.. =.=
Have a guess who wrote those words? (specially for studio people :D)

Update: Gave up exporting after 6 hours. Siao!

When You Believe

Looking at all the msn personal messages, I can't think of a better song to dedicate to my studio friends at this moment. Hope it gives you hope as much as it gave me.

They don't always happen when you ask
And it's easy to give in to your fears

But when you're blinded by your pain

Can't see your way straight throught the rain

A small but still resilient voice

Says hope is very near

Oh yeah, studio will be over very soon! We'll all be fine. =)

Another version of Man in the Mirror & Bad

Stumble upon these 2 Michael Jackson's songs recently but sang by 2 Chinese artists who really know what music is (very rare). I guess they did it as a tribute to MJ as both of them are western educated and probably are his fans for some time. I think they did a splendid job by inputting their own style in the songs without neglecting the original elements and arrangement.

When are you gonna Drop Again?

Images from

When's AUD gonna drop again till a rate which my jaws can drop?
It is known that Malaysian Ringgit fluctuates with American Dollar and China's RMB (though MYR has already unpegged with Dollar years ago). And American Dollar is so weak nowadays...
Let' pray hard that AUD 1 = MYR 1 one day. Then everyone will be happy. =)

Oh, today's AUD drops for the first time since the beginning of the month. Are we seeing hope?

Pic of the Day

Saw this over The Sun today. It strikes me and I decided to find it online and post it over here. Pretty interesting picture, seeing two main leaders of our country, sitting side by side, smiling, and sipping over a cup of (seems to be) teh tarik.
Well no matter how much controversial the two leaders may be, they are still human and most definitely, Malaysian. Both of them have the same need to live in harmony. Both of them eat the same food, enjoy the same climate, breath in the same air, share the same culture and, step on the same tanahair. Different views doesn't mean anything. It just signifies the beauty of democracy. The most important thing is, both of them should work together and strive for a better Malaysia, that both of them belong to.

SIBU 诗巫之歌

I'm glad to find a better song written by our dear Sibu-ian compared to what Aaron Chew posted on his blog.

Here's the lyrics:

有一条江 叫做拉让江 有一座山 叫做石山
有一公园 叫江滨公园 有一走廊 叫做创走廊
有一种面 叫做Mee Kampua

If you notice... This pastor has the same surname and middle name as mine! Lol.. That's why Yuyu thought he's my brother. Lol.

Good song it is! The rhythm and lyrics remind me of 阿牛. Haha... Indeed, Sibu is a land blessed by the Lord! =)

Unethical Businessman

This is the first time I come across a case like this. Quite smart but it doesn't escape from my brother's eyes.

From the packaging, you can see that the product is safe to be consumed: expired on 16th May 2010. Alright... buy! and eat!

But when you open it up, you realise the secondary packaging tells you that it's already expired! For this case, it has expired on the 2nd April 2009.

How can these two packaging come together?? By mistake? On purpose?

And the most 'geram' fact is, when my brother bought it, it has already passed the real expiry date.

You might think we should sue this... Em, but seriously, this is exam period for both of us... No time la... So the best thing to do now is to warn you guys who are reading this. You might not be able to tear it up and check when you buy something that has 2 layers of packaging, so just be careful when you eat. Check what you eat!

The Old Has Gone, The New Has Come

B1-08-05, LCS TCPJ, PJ. November 2009.

It was an awesome journey that I never expected on the day I stepped in Taylor's College.
Looking at how far we have been through it's simply amazing.
There are a lot of stories and memories I can tell from the days I worked with them.
And this is something that I'll carry with me for the rest of my days.
Good things always come to an end unfortunately (on this earth),
but better and greater things are yet to come!
With the new leadership I hope things will change for the better.
Oh yes I believe it will.
All the best to Kenneth and his team.
I believe God will double and triple His goodness that He has shown me on you guys.

Know your calling, embrace it, fight with it to the end.

Peacehaven, Genting Highlands. August 2009.

Everyday there's something to be happy about. Everyday there's something to be emo about.

How to make the best out of our lives then?
Just remember that NOW is the best time of our lives.

Celebrate it. Think positively. Only you can make the difference.

(sounds like ads from the Kementerian lol.)

Right Here Waiting For You

KL Sentral KTM Station, November 2009.

See, it takes almost a day for the next train to come.

Monday, November 9, 2009

Waited for bus for more than an hour. U623 is just like a rare animal.

Under a heavy downpour.

Plus some unknown swarm of insects flying around.

I just don't like packed bus. Who does anyway?

Some people are just hard to be forgiven. They never change!

No internet to use at home.

Scary interim presentation in less than 24 hours.

Still got so many things to do before the crit.

But a nice friend's voice softens the angry heart. And a daily self reminder:
Oh yeah He is!

40 years of Sesame Street

Saw this on Google. Apparently it's to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Sesame Street. It's like... 40 years! Wow! That's a long long way for those puppets! They seems alive to me when I was younger though. And I really think Sesame Street inspires me a lot on the 'art' side of me. The songs, the crafts, the visuals... Though I don't used to understand a huge part of the program when I watched it over TV1 when I was 5 years old, but I can sit there and watch it for an hour (11am - 12am everyday if not mistaken). Sometimes I'll do the crafts showed in the program.

And I remember in every show there's a number that's keep being celebrated, and an alphabet as well. There'll also be counting of numbers and singing of some A B C songs where the alphabets are hidden and appearing... Sounds familiar to you?

Well, that's Sesame Street for me. How about you? I'm sure you have a story to tell out of it.

A ha-ha-ha-ha...

Just Moved

Kelana Jaya, October 2009.

Recently I just moved into a new unit. And I realise that moving house is a seriously crazy task. Wouldn't wanna do it for a second time.

Successful Architect

Was googling through the net for my assignment when I came across this article that says:

A successful architect has four qualities:

  • A distinctive style. “Try to learn what your style is,” “Don’t copy from somebody else.”
  • An ability to innovate.
  • A special sense of discourse in his/her work.
  • An economy in design. “Don’t say too many things. Say one or two things, but say them very well.”
I think it's very well said, though somehow subconsciously we all know it. It's apparently said by Ken Yeang.
