69 - David Tao

It's like“不会吧。。。

PVC Card:

In Control

Sanctuary, Church of Lady Guandalupe, September 2007.

I don't understand why things happen.
I don't have all the answers for questions that are thrown to me.
I don't have the idea and creativity to solve my assignment tasks.
I don't know what's going to happen after now.
I don't have control over things that's beyond my mind.

But I know He is still in control.
God He reigns.

The King is Here!

LDP, Kelana Jaya, October 2009.
Picture's credit goes to my brother.

Oddball

Nikon Show, Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur, October 2009.

Since I missed the Canon Photomarathon last week, I took some time and went to Mid Valley on Sunday for the Nikon Show (as well as getting my sensor cleaned). I went to the last talk session featuring Louis Pang and took part in the model shoot out competition after that. I took a few hundreds of pics but not many of them are good. As I was choosing the pics to be sent to the organiser, I realised I have a lot of pics with this Canon guy in front of me. And because of that I decided not to send those pics for the competition entry as part of the 'assessment criterias' says 'relevance to Nikon's brand image.' Thanks to the Canon guy.

After some consideration, I decided not to post those model pictures up here... sungguh memalukan.

An Extra Public Holiday

Today Najib announced to the Dewan Rakyat that 16 September will soon be a public holiday for the whole nation. You can read the news here.

As a Sarawakian, I have always been wondering, why is 16 September not a public holiday. Not solely due to its significance, but because as student I was hoping for more public holiday. But as I grew up I realised the gap between Peninsular and East Malaysia is huge. There are a lot of misunderstandings (I hope nobody would still think that we live on trees) still. Nonetheless, the media plays an important role in educating the West Malaysian about us as well. We are not that far away from some towns like Klang and Ipoh, I'm comparing them with Sibu actually. In fact, I love Klang and Ipoh because both of these towns have strong Chinese backgrounds while having precious architecture heritage from the British colonial. The food, the people, the ruggedness, the human activities... well, likely the same.

Najib said that 16 September would be a day used to 'light up the spirit of 1 Malaysia'. Well, I think it's a pretty nice concept. Perhaps this is a more solid and lasting kind of action done by Najib's government after the inception of the 1Malaysia concept.

However, my first reaction when I knew about this decision is, "What? Only after 52 46 years the federal government realise that Malaysia Day should be a public holiday?" Haha... but good thing is, they didn't wait any longer. Good decision. Bravo. Cheers!

KTM

Took KTM to and fro between Klang and Setia Jaya on Friday. KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu, not Kuda Toto Magnum) has been a name that is not that distant from a lot of us, especially for those from the peninsular. But well, the name is always been prone to the negative side, and lots of people has been complaining about it. Even the prime minister knew about this and took a trip himself. Pretty sure you experience it if you are a frequent user.

Still, still, sadly nothing, NOTHING has been done. Maybe they did, but nothing significant can be seen.

And so, I decided to edit the pictures that I have taken to a bit of more, in a sense, emo. I really love to take pictures in KTM stations as lots of things can be seen, but often I dare not to do it openly as people might think that I'm taking them and might chop my cam into two. And the interesting thing is when I edit it to black and white with high contrast, the picture seems more tangible and its negativity can be felt more. Thanks to Chung who inspires me a lot on this (though he never personally encourage me to do that).

Hope these pictures can somehow, relate your feelings towards our dear KTM.

I hope I'll take more pics in the stations around before I leave.

MJ's Real Cause of Death

I came across this on Youtube when I was searching through MJ's songs.
You can visit their website at The Way of the Master. Pretty interesting.
And I also don't know if I should laugh or feel sad when MJ said "I want to live forever". Yeah, perhaps he meant that he wanna live forever, not on this earth but in somewhere else? Well, the truth is all of us gonna live forever, just the matter of how are we going to live forever. Thank God that I'm given a chance now to decide on that.
