I have lost the battle, but I have a war to win.
And I'll do my best to ensure a pretty victory.

My Dish!

What happens around you wouldn't matter to you... until it threathens what you care the most.

We meet different kinds of people everyday.

Some just "click" and there goes the long friendship, while some just doesn't click.

Some gave us thoughts of improving ourselves as a better person, while others just piss us off.

Some gave bad first impressions and only time provides opportunity to show us that we are wrong.

It's requires such a deep knowledge and understanding to manage our relationship with those around, whether it's our closest friend, or it's just the guy that waits for the bus with you at the bus stop.

Project Management...

I can't believe this research project actually took more than my estimated time. I have been seriously far behind for my studio 2. Once I get this PM thing done, I'll surely rush for my Studio 2.
Haiz... another sleepless night for a certificate's sake.

So, what's after water baptism? Ya, drenched. -_-

It's the beginning of a new life, for the old has gone and the new has come. I have left my weaknesses and troubles to the dirty water. I need to learn to think differently. Although I have become a Christian for about 10 years now, the baptism ceremony is certainly an event to remember and to remind me of my new identity ever since I became crazy for Jesus.

It was something to thank God with that I managed to be baptised with my bro, witnessed by all my siblings. Just a bit sad that most of my good friends are not there, but thanks for your wishes and sms-es.

Since I was born again, let me introduce myself, again.

Hi, I'm Benny, the second. I have received Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour. The old Ben has gone. Nice to meet you.

Em, sounds lame... but that's the fact.

Of cuz, new born does not mean an instant change of my weaknesses and mentality. But it is the change of the master in my heart. I should no longer control myself. I should let God has the full control.

Thanks to all who came to witness me and my bro's baptism last Sat! Specially thanks to my sis's family for being there. Thanks to my bro as well. And thanks to ZY and Eliz. Last but not least, thanks Joanna Kang! May God bless you all. =)

"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD."

Finally the day is here. I have been waiting for this day for so long. I believe God has His timing in allowing things to happen.

Indeed this is something profound, which marks another chapter of my walk with Christ. It is something to celebrate. Yet at the same time, I feel the burden. Yes, I can feel the burden, more than joy, sometimes. I feel that by under going water baptism, I have clearly shown to the whole world, both human and all sorts of evil spirits that I'm a Christian, that I receive Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour.

It's like during world war 2, a Jew will stand in the middle of the city and cry out, "Hey you Germans, I AM A JEW! Come and get me if you want!" I'll be telling the whole nation that I am a witness of Christ and if you want to persecute me, please do so, and I will not step back. That takes huge courage and sacrifices, which I might not afford to offer.

Yet, this is what we as a believer of Christ ought to do, even if we are not baptised. We need to show publicly that we are a Christian, and nothing will stop us from believing in Him.

May God bless the event tomorrow and keep me with Him till the day I closes my eyes for the last time.

P/s: Do come and witness it at FGA KL, 18th Oct 5:30p.m. =)

2 weeks Have Just Gone??

Yes, 2 weeks have past. The Raya break and the activity week "break". I did quite a lot of things and I think I have spend my time well. Though there are still some procrastination in getting my homework done, but I did manage to do some of them and that will probably lightened my work load when the classes continue today.

Currently still busy with my 3D Studio Max and after that Project Management assignments will take my time away. Looking forward for this Saturday though. =)

TSF - YC camp 2008

As planned, I'm updating on the camp that I have had last month, during the Merdeka break. It's a TSF - YC, or YC - TSF (whichever way) camp held in Peacehaven (yay!). The theme of the camp is Point of Difference, and I remembered the theme was chosen from more than 20/30 suggestions... and it was Grace's suggestion! The speaker of the camp was Pastor Rhordan Wicks from FGA Singapore. It was a 4D/3N camp by the way.

This camp was a new experience for me and my brother as we are part of the organising committee. Didn't really know much to do without Soon Yen, Jackie and Ps Jeremy's guidance. Thanks to them.

I enjoyed myself throughout the camp especially the workshop and the sessions. Some simple conclusions on the sessions that we have by Ps Rhordan:

Session 1: When You Are Facing Difficulties

You shall...
a) Remove it by faith
b) Turn Around
c) GO Around
d) Climb and Posses
e) Run to - for Refuge
f) Shine from it

Session 2: The Point of Difference between Heaven and Hell

We are all sinful, and therefore, only FORGIVEN people can get to heaven.

Session 3: The Point of Difference in Heaven

We will be rewarded according to:
a) Our faithfulness
b) Diligence on the things given. (ie our wealth, talents, opportunity)
c) Motivation (not just to get the reward; God is looking for right motivated people who will serve Him)

Session 4: Faith (didn't catch the exact title)

2 Corinthians 5:7 - We walk by faith, not by sight.

A lot of us are having circumstancial faith, which build on events and experiences. It is very fragile anf it'll eventually fail us.

The foundation of our faith is a person, JESUS.

What is faith?

Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

We should have the confidence that He is who He says He is and that He will do what He promised to do.

The difference between faith and foolishness is a thin line. The thin line is, God's Voice.

God never promised...

a) to keep bad things from happening to us.
b) to heal us all.
c) to make us all super wealthy, but He'll provide.
d) to reverse the consequences of our sin.

One promise for us:

2 Corinthians 12:7-9

His GRACE is sufficient for us.

Example of a man with great faith: Paul, who asked God to help him 3 times, but God didn't answer him, yet he chose to follow Him.

So, faith means, when God doesn't answer, We still can say, He is who He is. Amen!!!

So those are the main points of the sessions that we have. Another interesting thing that Ps Rhordan mentioned is that when we have a problem or trouble, we just have to learn how to "shake it off, and step on". Don't dwell in it!

And for those who went for the sessions, "it's Friday, but SUNDAY IS COMING!" =)

Some pics to share...

This is Peacehaven, located on the Genting Highlands.

Pastor Jeremy is briefing.

These are the workshop speakers. By the way, I didn't snap any of Ps Rhordan pics, em, on purpose.

Interesting bug on the mountain.

Another different one... which needs help...

There are some games sessions in the camp and I was in-charged of the egg drop apparatus. Hm? Sounds familiar? Yup, Design Studio 1 Ice-breaking project... but the game wasn't my idea though. Haha... Eventually only 2 groups' apparatus survived, out of 20 groups.

Sek Ting, the "thrower".

Marcus, the "inspector".

Robert was in-charged of the spider web so I managed to "ke-po" a bit.

I wonder what was Sarah thinking... what an expression! LOL...

"King of Barley" praises the Lord for saving her life from the spider.

This is the praise and worship team for the camp.

And, another interesting thing of this camp for Robert and I is that we managed to involve in the skit. In fact, this is the first "serious" skit that I did. Thanks to Grace, Darren and Bernard for the teaching and guidance. I have had lots of fun and managed to know some YC-ers better. And the result of the skit was awesome, as God touched some of the people.

The director and producer, Grace!

Oh I see, ya ya, director, yes I understand, agree, Amen...
Thanks for giving me a better picture on how to play the role of Jesus.

The cast posing the respective characters after the performance.

Some pics of the skit and the cardboard testimonies...

Yes, with God @nything is possible.

This is Kenny, aka Kah Kin, staying in the same dorm with me in the camp.

The POD babies.

The camp committee.

Yay! We have finished our work...haha...

The camp ended successfully on the Monday morning. I remember I was flat and so was my phone's credit, and battery. Indeed this was a special camp, quite different from the TSF camp I had last year, cuz there are so many new people to meet with! And of cuz as usual, I manage to get some of the people's contact.

Elder Chan: Bye! See you again next year!

Thank God for the wonderful camp and the experience that I gathered. May Your words continue to be with the campers now and forever. Till the TSF camp 2009...

... this is a very interesting picture that I found there. Can you figure out what is it? Just leave a comment and see if you are right. =)
