Point of Difference

Tertiary Students Fellowship and Youth Church of FGA will be organising a youth camp on 29Aug - 1 Sept 2008. Here are the details of the event:

Date : 29th August (Friday) - 1 Sept 2008 (Monday)

Location :

Total Price : RM120 (at the moment it's cheaper, so register earlier!)

The camp will be so much fun as we listen from Ps Roland (if i'm not mistaken) from Singapore. There're also interesting workshops for you to choose and attend. All you need to do is to sign up and wait for the day to come! It'll be so exciting as hundreds of tertiary students from all over the places will be gathering there! Trust me, camp is the place where you get to make more friends (friends that will last!) and expand your circle of friends.

For latest updates you can always visit the POD Blog.

You can also ask me if you have any question or register with me.

Hope to see you guys there!!!

Being Selfish...

SOMETIMES being selfish...

... makes you less risky.
... makes you happier.
... makes things better.

SOMETIMES being too loving...

... makes you frustrated.
... makes you lost.
... makes you think what's the point of doing so.

Does anyone agree with me?

Semester 4

Semester 4 started off with a class canceled; ended with gun fights in Counter Strike.

This sem's timetable allows me to take 4 subjects only. It might be a good thing for now, but not for my coming sems. Anyway, I believe another tough and challeging semester is on its way.

College didn't change much after 2 and a half months break. The Mass Comm students aren't back yet so the college is slightly more... silent... hehehe... Not that crowded at the moment. I saw some SABD juniors and I realise there're quite a number of them. Good thing? Hm...not really. Cuz we have to fight for the books in the library... especially during the submission periods. Oh... hate that.

Nowadays I can't blog anymore in my house as the "free" wireless in my place has been secured. The only way for me to get online is to come to college or... go to the KFC restaurant at Giant Kelana Jaya. Haiz... But it has been a blessing that I could use it last sem. Hopefully a new "free" wireless will appear soon... hiak hiak... =)

CF will start off next week. I'm really looking forward for it as we all gather together again and worship the Lord. great!

"Creative" construction

I got this from a friend of mine. I think it's really interesting and decided to share with all of you especially for my friends who are doing archi. Remember, never repeat their mistakes. Wakaka...

My money...!

One of the mutants lives here...

I guess the train has not been in service for long.

It grows taller with time... I think?

Yup, it's the mutants' hotel again.

Out of my way!

Not again... it's the mutants' place again.

The developer is expecting the expansion from the bridge due to the heat. Good calculation.

Special request from a disabled?

Sorry, dead end!

This is the most interesting one...

WOW! Can shoot both ways!

A week before going back...

It has been a "selah" for me these 2 months. Time for reflections. Time to pause. 63 days have passed since the day I stepped on Borneo again last May.

Everyday is a growing process. Everyone knows it. Having break in Sibu provides me a lot of chances to grow. Don't get me wrong, staying in KL helps me to grow as well. But I found that I am always too busy when I am in KL. Busy with studies, busy with God's ministry. Till I neglected my responsibility to do house chores, till I neglected to really, pause and reflect on what happens. And when I stop doing that, I stop growing.

So, I guess KL will a place where I'm in the real world, and Sibu will be a place for selah. That's the advantage of being a student where I enjoy breaks from time to time.

Next Saturday will mark the end of my semester break. And I'll be facing pressures again. Haha, ya, of cuz, I'll be experiencing great stuffs as well! I'm really looking forward to meeting my college friends, my CF bro and sis, my church friends! And also experiencing the coming events like the Passion concert (3rd August), TCCF 1st Anniversary (12th August) and TSF-YC camp (29 Aug - 1 Sept).

Life is an on-going thing. Stopping too long at a spot will rot me away.

Pride is at the bottom of a great many errors and corruptions, and even of many evil practices, which have a great show and appearance of humility.

Goodbye Kacapuri Architects, and thanks!

Tomorrow is my last day working in Kacapuri Architects, for this year. So what have I done?

To be honest, I have handled only 3 projects in 4 weeks time. This is because there are still a lot of things I don't know how to do. All the things I did were CAD drawings. And what do I do in the office when I'm free? Download songs and movies. And oh, I ventured into some sites and download quite a number of free software.

But these 4 weeks training did expose me to how a small architect firm works. The staffs need to handle everything from the top to the bottom. They have to meet the clients, design the building, draw the design, submit it to the authorities and even claim for payments from the clients. WOW..rite?

I think that's kind of fun actually. At least you know what you are doing and you can handle the whole thing yourself without having trouble to communicate and discuss with the others. But still have to work with the boss anyway. And that means if there's anything wrong, that will be your fault.

Oh ya, in fact, the architect firm only has 2 staffs, 1 office boy, 1 admin and a boss. They are handling countless small projects and also another big one in Kalimantan, Indonesia, which requires more than 10 years till its completion. And the firm only has 3 architects! Wow... =.=

It was indeed a nice experience as I'm being treated well and I managed to make friends there as well. Oh ya, I even got my paycheck 2 weeks ago, way before my training ends.

So, tomorrow will be my last day... Haha..., ya I miss the firm a bit. And also the streamyx there! Hehe...

Somehow, the thought of working in Sibu becomes stronger and stronger. Is that the sound from God? Time and prayers will tell.

Seeing VS Believing

The world says: Seeing is believing.

GOD says: Believing is the key to see.

Because even if you see, and you choose not to believe, it will remain meaningless.

But, if you choose to believe, and though you didn't see it, your life will be changed forever.
