Life started to get busy...

Original post: Life started to get busy...

Hello everyone...sorry for the late update as what Mc A had complained.

Actually, it was quite a hectic week for me. More and more assignments and pressure are and has been coming on my way. So guess I have to spend less and less time onlining just to save time to cope with my studies.

I always wonder how's the people back in Sibu. Are they fine?...or are you fine?? I'm quite sad actually for not being at home this coming CNY. Whenever I go to the shopping mall and heard the CNY ''dong dong dong chian" songs I will miss everybody back in Sibu. I have been celebrating Chinese New Year in Sibu for 17 years and this will be the first time I celebrate it in West Malaysia. I should be honest to say that I'm not too happy with it.

Ok, forget about the sad thing. Just now I have lunch with my gang of friends near my college. And due to my status as a "quite new" citizen of W.Malaysia, I am not sure of what are the foods available in the coffee shops around. I believe the shops here won't have Sibu's usual delicacy - Kampua... Haha...Anyway, I don't really know what thing to eat. So I ask my friends what are the common food people usually eat. And they told me mee goreng which later I found that it is 'Chao Mien'. So I ordered the food and I (or we) were told that there is no mee goreng. And so I ordered a nasi lemak and was being disappointed again when I was told that there is no nasi lemak during lunch time. I have no idea what eat that time and just simply read the menu at the shop and ordered one of the unknown items, which is called mee kering jaring. Later, the food came. I ate it straight away. About 5 minutes later, a waitress with a plate of mee approached me and asked if anyone ordered the mee kering jaring. I stopped eating a while and wonder if I have listened wrongly. Then I shooked my head and when the waitress was away, I told my friends that I might be eating the wrong thing...and of cuz, my friends laughed. Worse to come...the waitress walked back and asked the same question again and this time, my friends pointed at me. I was so embarrased and later came to know that the thing that I was eating is actually the mee goreng! Oh...I'm so confused! Later, I found that we actually misunderstood what the waitress had said just now about the mee goreng thing though we still don't know what she had said. I then told the waitress to bungkus the mee kering jaring and I thought I have to keep that for my dinner. But luckily the waitress was kind enough to keep the food for other customer and I don't have to pay for it. Oh...that was so embarassing...the waitress must be thinking that I'm stupid... Anyway, it was just a small misunderstanding and surely, I'll be more careful next time. Stupid things won't happen twice on me, I hope...

My life in KL for the 1st 2 weeks...

Original post: My life in KL for the 1st 2 weeks...

It has been 2 weeks since I arrived at KL. Time really flies. Finally the classes start officially. Anyway, I still got a lot of free time at the moment. Ok...I would like to summarise my activities in KL within this two weeks.

2nd Jan - I departed from Sibu to the busiest city in Malaysia...KL. What was the best part of this is my gang of old buddies in Sibu. I never knew that they are waiting at the Sibu airport to bless my journey. That's not all, I'm really touched when they gave me their own one year service badge and long year service badge for me...in order to replace my lost ones...where will i find such friends under the sky?? I was so touched until my tears just rolled down when the plane sped off to send me to the unknown future. I was wondering...will I find such friends in KL?? Probably not...that was what I think that moment. I really wanna thank them for being such loyal and close to me...I will definately miss them, and if you happen to be Jed, Sing Hoe, Aldrin and Sze Yang......remember this...when we meet next time, I will definately ''chia'' you guys yum cha!! Good buddies forever...

My buddies and 1 in airport

5th Jan - My 1st day in school, the Taylor's College, PJ. It was actually just an orientation with some boring talks. Luckily I managed to stand the cold in the Annexe. But unfortuantely...I knew no one...I have no friend at all......that is the time I miss friends like Jed, Alvin, Sze Yang...

6th Jan - My 1st day in church in 2007. I attended the Saturday service and TSF (Tertiary Student Fellowship) in FGA (Full Gospel Assembly), KL. It is really a great and interesting church. The pastors are great and the church members are friendly too. Luckily I have a great cousin leading me all the way in the church or I will surely get ''kekok''...A word of thanks to you, Flo...

7th Jan - Finally I have a chance to meet with my old friend...Keh Wei. And through Keh wei, I met Michael, another guy from Sibu. We meet at KL Convention Centre and then lepak and have dinner at KLCC. It's a fun day... and we surely looking forward for more of this old friend ''meeting'' things.

11th Jan - It was still the orientation week...but this day marked an important starting point for me...finally I have some friends!! I was really happy...Actually that day the programme ''KL trip"" was going on and we are grouped into a group of 5 or 6. Then we walk all around KL city starting from the Centre Market, or Pasar Seni. We went to places like KTM station, temples, St. Mary Cathedral, Dataran Merdeka, Masjid Negara... It was really fun...especially with all the new friends. Hope that our friendship will last.

14th Jan - Another whole day with Keh Wei. This time I paid a visit to Wesley Methodist Church, KL, where The Boys' Brigade 1st KL Coy is. The church is really beautiful....with a lot of BB banners and posters. It's really great. Unfortunately, I meet with one BB boys only. He's a S/Sgt actually. After the church service, it was about 1pm. Keh Wei and I then went to Kelana Jaya LRT station to meet with Michael and later we went to The Curve and Ikano Power Centre. It's a fun one but tiring. And the most surprising part is...all the food there are damn expensive. My wallet was left with RM6 when I reached home at about 9:30pm.

I believe there will be more interesting things going on...I really hope that God will guide me during my days in KL. I hope that He will draw me closer to Him day by day that when I finished my studies in KL, I'll be a whole new person, which is more like Christ. So, please pray for me...trust in the power of prayers, cuz that's when the miracles happen.
